Apples to Apples

Today I saw a group of people playing Apples to Apples in the big seating area at the Woodbridge Wegmans. This made me think about Spot Coffee in Rochester. A big group of us would usually assemble there and play cards or other games for hours on end. Apples to Apples had a particularly long run with us. Coincidentally, an old-friend from Rochester that I haven't heard from in a long time instant messaged me, but sadly, she hasn't been to Spot Coffee in a while.

In related news, I exchanged a couple of emails with an old boss in Rochester. He is spending time in Hawaii with his wife, as he has every year around this time since I've known him. He said that he mentions my name every time he discusses "the complexity of color" with someone. It is nice to be remembered...

Tomorrow is the Super Bowl. Plans are not yet finalized. Ideally, I will be with my significant other at his house with me knitting on the couch next to him watching football, but only after the meatballs and Pineapple-Mango Upside Down Cake have been made.

This coming Wednesday, I have an opportunity to potentially make some new friends. I am looking forward to it... we'll see how it goes.
