The Loopy Ewe and Knit Picks

A couple of days ago, I recieved some new yarn that I ordered from Knit Picks in the mail. The first picture is what I was specifically ordering for. If you frequent Knitty, you may be able to figure out what project I am working on. I bought the exact yarn in the exact colors specified in the pattern. I can't say what this is right now, because it will be a gift for one of my non-knitting friend's who may or may not be reading this.

The second picture is of Knit Picks Shimmer in baby alpaca and silk. I love this yarn- it is so soft and is a beautiful colorway. I mainly only bought it to get the free shipping.

Then, my email knitting buddy sent me to The Loopy Ewe last week. I visited and filled out their Grand Opening Survey and to my surprise, I found out a couple days later that I had won their drawing for a $75 credit on their site! I never win anything and the way things have been going lately, I needed something good and unexpected to happen. I haven't used my credit yet, but from what I see on the site, I highly recommend it if you like high-quality sock yarn (and accessories). I will post what I get when I receive it.

Movies I need to see soon: The Illusionist, Little Miss Sunshine, Idlewild, Water...

It's not surprising that we bought the same color - the turquoise is beautiful! Do you have any plans for yours yet? Mine is marked for a shawl - supposedly hanging garden, but I may break down and make a smaller one. 15 repeats of 54 pattern lines scares me.
